Cross-Group Teams Communication

At the moment, CEP and LRI Microsoft accounts are currently on separate Teams tenants, so communicating with colleagues from the other group requires you to switch accounts. Once both CEP and LRI have successfully merged tenants in the next months, this will no longer be required. In the meantime, there is a workaround to avoid needing to switch.

1) Search for your contact by typing their full email address into the Teams search bar. In this example I am using @cep-experts.ca but it works wtih @lrifire.com if you are a CEP user.

2) Select "Search [email] externally"

3) Select the contact's name that has (External) appended

4) The contact should have an "External" tag and you will now be able to communicate with this person on your native account!
